Who we are
Kettle Energy Limited operates this website and the Kettle pilot programme. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17324936, registered office 3rd Floor Pacific Chambers, 11-13 Victoria Street, Liverpool, L2 5QQ. For enquiries about personal data, contact hello@kettle.energy.co.uk.
Where a pilot runs with a housing provider, the housing provider and Kettle each have defined data protection roles. Those roles are agreed in writing, and a data protection impact assessment is completed, before any resident is contacted.
What we collect
From residents who register interest: name, email address, optional phone number, the first part of a postcode, the name of a housing provider, and anything you choose to write in the question field.
From housing providers and businesses: name, work email, organisation, role, and details about the portfolio or sites relevant to the enquiry.
From all visitors: minimal technical information required to serve the site securely. We do not use advertising trackers.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry, to check whether a property may be eligible for a pilot, to run and evaluate pilots, and to meet our legal obligations.
Our lawful bases are consent (where you have registered interest or ticked a contact box), legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries), and legal obligation where applicable.
What we never do
We do not sell personal data. We do not use resident data to make decisions about a tenancy. We do not ask for payment details or bank details in order to take part in a pilot.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for as long as needed to respond and, where a pilot proceeds, for the duration of the pilot and the period required for its evaluation and any audit obligations. Records that do not lead to a pilot are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Write to us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies required for it to function. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice.
